Filler Types
Two of the most popular fillers are Hyaluronic Acid and Calcium Hydroxylapatite.
- Calcium Hydroxylapatite works under the skin by increasing collagen, which lifts and plumps the skin. Calcium Hydroxylapatite fillers are often used to increase volume in the cheeks, as it adds a lovely lift to the skin. This filler can last from one year to a year and a half.
- Poly-L- lactic acid fillers also stimulate collagen production to help restore a plump, youthful look to your face. This filler requires time up-front, and many patients require three to four separate injections, around four weeks apart. Results can last more than two years, which makes it totally worth it
- Hyaluronic acid fillers also can be used to add volume to cheeks, lips, and other parts of the face. They’re successfully used to help diminish smile lines and other wrinkles in the face, too. Many filler brands use Hyaluronic acid, and how long they last will depend on which you select and how your body reacts to them. Generally, you can expect your results to last from six months to two years.
